Reply to "Rear wheel spacers narrow body"

I wasn’t thinking of that issue when I ordered the spacers! Only after I mounted one spacer and saw the stud protrude I looked at the backside of the wheels and started measuring! Live, and learn!

yes! There was interference! I measured it out and that’s what I came up with…just measure the stud length, and then look at the back of your wheel and measure how deep the recesses are between the bolt holes. I came up with that the recess has to be 6mm deep! if your stud protrudes 25 mm from the hub you will be fine… But if your stud protrudes 30 mm you have to do something! The spacer is only 25 mm thick! The reset of my wheels was between two and 3 mm (undefined casting )So I got it machines to have a total of 6 mm recess!

I do not think it will affect the handling negatively..

you essentially have wider track in the back, and the outside of the tire thread has minimal less weight on it because of negative camber… If that makes a difference is questionable…

you probably can adjust it if you change the camber by a1/3 of a degree (if this is even possible lol and i sucked the number out of my fingers)! in cornering, it might be more stable having a wider track… therefore more leverage onto the tire by 1 inch… Should be a wash…

but this is all guest work on my part..I’m sure some pros can pipe in on that! I am not racing the car… Just spirited driving!🤪

I don’t put spacers in the front!
