Reply to "Rear Window - for those with cages"

Not sure if you have already put in a roll bar, but one solution I've mentioned before was to install the roll bar behind the rear window inside the engine compartment with bracing running back to points on the chassis inside the engine compartment. That is the way my McLaren was done. The only thing you lose are the bars inside the driving compartment that: (1)give side protection and (2)stop flexing of the chassis. But if you are only doing a roll bar for rule compliance in ORR type events, this is another option and having the roll bar behind the rear window certainly cleans up the inside of the car if you are still driving it on the street to get your groceries on the weekends or out to dinner.
