Reply to "relay boxes by fuse box"

I've got so many questions...but just for 3 cries for help;
1. the 2 relays in the trunk, are they individually for the cooling fans ? How are they actuated ? I've got the schematic from Hall Pantera but these relays are not shown...

2. What is this box on the firewall? To the right is the horn relay (for the air horn, the city horn doesn't have a relay). But what is the silver box ?

3. Can anybody give me a picture of the wire (colors) attached to the alternator ?

Thanks again for all the help...I've got just days to get done what I can on this car, then it goes back to my brother for probably years...! Lee
