I must ask why do it with the engine in the car.
To do crank and rods, the heads must be off, the trans off and the timing cover and chain off. And then try and tap the pistons back in reaching in the car , does not sound like fun. Let alone the rest of it.
At least if you can do the engine outside of the car there is less chance of leaks, and get done properly.
