Reply to "Repair to Original Window Switch"

The same window motor loads the rocker switches switches see are another of the high current draws that pass through the ignition switch.

I unloaded mine with a window relay circuit. I use the original fuses but feed them from another source. I hung the relays where my starter interlock box used to live.

The design makes it possible to use only four much smaller wires in the harness down to the switches. Much easier to install on the backside of the switches.

I also made it so that the windows operate with the key at the accessory (first click) position.

The stock windows now actually do work a little faster, but I think I'm still going to try the Taurus motor upgrade.

I'll share my relay circuit if anyone is interested.
