If you are talking about a mechanical fuel pump, just about any will do. Motorcraft or AC would be your best bet.

You would be better off using a combination of two pumps though. An electric, priming a mechanical.

John Haas at Pantera-electronics.com has an electronic engine controller that regulates the electric pump to only come on when needed.

It is by far the best solution to the pump issues. Let's you have your cake and eat it too.
