Reply to "Replacing positive battery cable"

ESTBAND;  JOULES is correct. One positive battery cable does run down the rocker cavity (the one going to the starter relay). You should have two black cables coming off the + battery terminal, and both go through a grommet protecting a hole that leads under the dash. One cable snakes its way to the amp meter, the other cable goes down into the rocker cavity and comes out an opening and up to the starter relay. Again, as JOULES states, one can access it by removing the 4 bolts of the recoil side of the seat belt. One word of caution - the rear wiring loom connecting everything to the engine, rear lights, fuel tank, etc. also goes through the rocker. Just use caution pulling the + cable out so that you don't pull the rear wiring loom out due to it being tangled in the rocker.
