Wheels etc are a personal thing. Re tires, the big problem is, no one is making current Z or V-rated tires in 15" size for the rear. Plenty of H-rated, but we all like to go fast.... So, many go for 17s & 18s". When you do, after the glow wears off you notice the stock brakes look wimpy in the suddenly too big space in your new wheels. Wheels, tires & big brakes all run into big bucks. Then, the wide sticky modern tires put so much cornering force into the chassis, the body flexes and you get paint cracking in several known weak spots. So you really need body stiffeners- either welded in or bolted on. And if you do high- speed cornering often with sticky tires, you'll need a baffled, 10-qt oil pan or run the risk of wasting your engine's bearings from oil starvation. The above changes can total over $10K if you don't do your own work. The vendors have addressed these and other problems, and I suggest you attend some Pantera functions, especially the Fun Rally in Las Vegas in late April. There will be 200 or so of the finest running examples of Panteras in the known universe. You'll have some new goals afterward, believe me.
