I would solicit Dan Jones input. The crane hydraulic roller lifters have been used up to 7700 rpm without valve float.

I looked at using a hydraulic roller valve train. I think if this is the route you choose you would get the most rpm by using the Crane lifters in combination with a Comp cams beehive style valve spring.
