Ring Gear Safety Wire

I've read a lot about the importance of safety wiring the ring gear on the ZF. Is there any way to check if it's been safetied with the tranny in the car? There are no odd noises or problems w/the transmission, but I'd rather be safe than sorry! Thanks!
