Safety wiring the ZF or Loctite?

I have just drilled my ring bolts for safety wire and will torque them and install the wire when I have finished my special ZF torque wrench tool.

I know that the recommendation in the manual is to use Loctite, and I assume this is what was done at the factory.

I removed one bolt at a time, drilled it and installed it again.

When I removed the bolts most bolts could be removed using the fingers after looseing them with a box wrench, but two or three felt like they had Loctite on the threads and I had to use the wrench almost all the way.

What is the recommendation, wire or Loctite, and what is normally used on a rebuild?

Personally I feel safer using wire.
