If I recall correctly,Wilkinson had a batch made up this year. At a much reduced price from the $1200 or so that was common a few years back.
And years back, there was a batch, from Hall?, that was not only thin but also undersized. So try to get the history of whatever you find.
Now, just about any vendor has access to windshields, of course. Prices may vary. And their source can vary. too.
And I haven't heard any feedback yet on the quality of Wilkinson's new batch. I recently held one of Wilkinson's new shift levers in my hands at a PCNC meeting, and the quality left a lot to be desired. A little more time with the sanding/buffing wheels prior to chrome sure would have been nice on the example I saw.
But a replacement surely isn't something you will find at Windshields-R-Us or on Craig's List.
Keep in mind, last I knew, the gaskets alone were $250.
