All, your head is very close to the windshield in your car. Why do you cheap out on your seatbelts? NASCAR and most other race sanctioning bodies make your repalce your belts after a wreck, even just intot he guardrails. There used to be good info on the Sinpson website and I beleive wreck or not youa required to repalce your belts ever 2 years in NASCAR. No I am not specifically a NASCAR fan but I have worked with them for the past 10 years on their annual safety update that every driver and crew chief must sit in for. I post on another "Ghia Bodied" car forum (we have a '70 Karmann Ghia) and I can't believe how giddy you all get that you saved money on seatbelts. I don't speak out on much but that is stupid money saved. What is the background of the manufacturer? Try Snakoyl (Spelling?) out of Hemmings or just buy new belts! Being cheap on this can cost you your life. Look up the work of Dr. Melvin at Wayne State University.
I had a fiend die because they cheaped on seatbelts. Don't. OK tghe challenge here isn't to belittle or cut me down but tell me why you should spend a little as possible on seatbelts or buy from an unknown manufacturer? Please tell me why you would put your wife, son or daughter at risk in the passenger seat of your car and if you mean it use your name so we know not to ride with you.
