seating piston rings

Whats the best way of ensuring the new rings seat properly.

Its a newly machined block +30 with SLP forged pistons and SLP plasma moly rings both from Summit.

Have now ran the engine in the garage, not on the road yet, and its puffing smoke out the valve covers like an old steam train. Run it for about 15 mins in total, is that long enough. Valve covers are PIM with the round breather caps with the gauze filter inside.

Did not go for an expensive oil for the very reason to bed the rings etc. Using semi synthetic Castrol GTX.

Smoke doesn't seem to be getting any better so any help and advice greatly appreciated.

PS Hyd roller cam fitted so no break in as for a new flat tappet
