Reply to "Set of Stainless brake lines"

When I rebuilt my front calipers, behind the pistons of the inboard halves (where the lines connect) there was about a teaspoon of, for the lack of a better word, sludge. I should have posted pictures. Since I am reasonably sure the calipers had not been apart since 1972 I would bet that it was old rubber brake line material. Rebuild your calipers people, for 50 bucks it changes your world. For example, my O-rings that seal the two halves had hardened and thus leaked.....ever so slightly.
However, rebuilding is not for the faint of heart, good tools are a must, and it is time consuming. A much less painful solution is the SAAC restoration kit. If I knew then what I know now I would have went this route. After I figure my time and tools the cost were about even.
