Shifter knob envy

Since day 1 I disliked the original shifter knob!!! it looks more like it belongs on the stick of a three on the tree , at least to me! All other Italian sports cars, have such nice shifter knobs, especially if they are gated shifters.

So, in between of all the other mods/ repairs I do to the car I started a little fun project as well!

Solid aluminum 2 inch ball, M8 1.25 with a small flat spot for the thin locking nut and a 1” flat spot with a recess and rounded edges to hold the DeTomaso emblem!

I love it, and I think it suits the car so much better ….
