No issue. I just was curious. I have a black Delrin knob made by Auger.
It sits the knob down on the original lever as far as it can go and not have threads popping out of the top.
In effect it makes the shift lever a "short throw" lever.
If you fully thread the knob, or more correctly maximize the thread bore, you can ajdust the height of the knob to suit.
Here's what mine look like installed. See how shortened the lever seems now?
That's all in the knob. The chrome lever is still the original one.
