Shock Selection - QA1/HAL

Guys,

Is anyone running the HAL/QA1 shocks and if so which model #'s.I looked through previous posts but couldn't find any part # info.

I contacted the QA1 tech support and although they didn't have specific shock, they suggested the following;

DR5855B - Single adjustable, 17" extended, 11.6" compressed.
HAL-12-XXX - 12" spring XXX signifies # rating. I was thinking 450# front & 550# rear.

Summit have these shocks at $170 ea and springs at $35 ea. If I want to go double adjustable the part # is DDR5855B and they run up to $278 ea.

The Tech guy also said that although the shcoks above are 12" recommended spring length, I could use a 10" spring. My objective is to get the car to sit lower so I guess the 10" would help that.

Anyone got any experience or wisdom on spring lengths and whether it really is worth going the extra for the double adjustables?
