Reply to "shocks + spring replacement"

Get straight! The SPRINGS hold the car up! The SHOCKS keep the car from "bouncing" on the springs "FOREVER"! Remember when they use to call them shock "ABSORBERS" If you have one side lower than the other, what may be wrong is: Tired or bent spring(s). Bent or out of position spring mount and/or "A" arm. Bent chassis. The shock would come into effect if it were frozen or if the shaft were bent. Have you checked the tire pressures? How far off is the error? Checking the actual angles of the "A" arms both front and rear, may provide a clue. As far as costs, there are lots of shops out there that sell coil/over springs (and shocks)! Do your homework, Know your specifications, and then shop around!! All the best, Marlin.
