shudder

Don't know if this should go here or not, but here goes.
I went for a little drive today and under some real power on shifts, I felt a shudder. Didn't (or couldn't) hear tire slip or any other vibration. Just as the clutch engaged there was a half second of heavy shudder somewhere in the engine to ground transfer. Car is fine and no problem with even moderate power on shifts, no vibrations no noises or any indication of a problem. The tires are Goodyear F-1 with soft compound, 315X35X17 zr. maybe they were chattering. Any ideas?
