SINDLE LH with steel "shaped washer" ???

Hello everyone, I hope the summer went well for you?
All in the restoration of my DE TOMASO PANTERA L from 1974, of which I currently dismantled the left and right front axle. When dismantling the LH sindle I noticed the presence of a very thin steel "shaped washer", positioned between the sindle and the bearing. See the attached photos.
"Shaped washer" that I do not have on the RH front axle!!!
What is the use of this washer?
