Like oil and beer brands, sparkplug brands are a predjudice learned at Dad's knee. The only almost-universal truth in plugs is, platinum-tip plugs (Lodge et al) are good only as missles to throw at gophers in the back yard. The latest instance gave the owner 200 miles befor being removed & pitched. Split-fire & other patented type tricky-tip plugs are the same- save your money for something else IMHO.
