I was looking into this my self, I found out that most of the work that the crank grinders out here are getting are the chinese crank supplier's, one which you mentioned.
The reason being is that when the cranks are originally ground they are not keeping there grinding wheels dress'd straight thus allowing the areas against the shoulders & radiuses to be a larger diameter than the center of the journals, this makes hot spots on the edges of the bearings. A true US made crank comes from Crower Cam's in San Diego, very costly!
I decided to go with a stock cleveland crank ground with a off set using a smaller rod journal, heat treated & hardened.
