...The 'Driven' gear would be IN the Transaxle, on the shaft that the angle drive attaches to. When I was told, by a knowledgable friend, about a broken tooth being the cause of the speedo needle Fluctuating; He was generalizing about all (Mostly American Cars) speedometers, where most all of the driven gears are made of plastic and not just about Panteras...
