WHAT did you pull? Just the angle drive adapter? If so, no harm done. The problem comes from removing the hex bolt below the angle drive. Removing that bolt will free an internal part that will require tranny dis-assembly to retrieve.

The speedo cable is famous for breaking. Have you tested it for function up to the speedo?
