from your photo it appears you have correctly disassembled the cable from the angle drive.

I find the drive cable is often difficult to remove and requires more force than you would think.

your drive cable appears to be very rusty which explains why your WD-40 and manual efforts have so far been unsuccessful.

Study my photos, and make sure you are trying to remove just the cable and not the larger piece sticking out from the angle drive
