...Upon looking at it a little closer, there IS a small tube sticking out (from the adaptor) about 1/2, Yes!! This IS part of the 90 degree Gearbox and should NOT be pulled on! The SQUARE end of your flex cable slides into this tube, and should pull out easily. Marlin.
