Speedometor Grear Lesson

I learned a valuable lesson installing the speedometer gear. I purchased a electronics sending unit and put it on the gear. Installed the gear and didn't like the way it set so I took out. The problem was the sleeve came out and the gear didn't and fell into the trans. I bought a magnet from Harbor Freight that had a LED light in the center of the magnet. After six try's I finally got the gear to lay on the opening and the spade was up so I grabbed it with a long thin pair of pliers. So, if you take the gear out make sure you grab the spade with pliers to remove the whole unit.

Also, Does the ZF have a hookup for backup lights? Mine is a 2.
