Stalling

My pantera will stall after about 15 minutes of driving to the point where I have to continually keeping pumping the gas to keep it running. I can only do this for a few minutes then it dies altogether and doesn't want to restart until the following day. The smell of gas is overpowering...

When it does start again, there's a lot of smoke for the first few minutes (excess gas being burnt off) and then the car runs fine until the scenario repeats itself again. I've changed the coil, condenser and points in the last 6 months so I don't think its an ignition problem, but I could be wrong. My gut feeling is it's the carb... Any experience filled insight the Bosswrench can provide would be most helpful. Thanks.
