steering lockup

Replaced Lecarra steering wheel with Momo wheel and hub. After the hub bolt was removed I muscled the hub from the steering shaft splines.

Installed the Momo hub and wheel and to my surprise the wheel would not turn at all.

Did not want to try and force the wheel to turn. Can hear some creaking noises near the slip jointed steering shaft.

Did not try to turn the wheel by force without consulting the experts. What can I do to fix the problem?
