Morion, someone probably tried to rebuild that Steering Rack hence the new Bronze Bushing and then screwed it up with the assembly of the Pinion and associated Shims etc. I recently modified a Ford Escort mk2 quick Rack to fit a Pantera. There is a Thread on the topic if you consider that option.
