The keepers are under stress even with the spacers out so thats not a problem. Due to leverage effects, the drop is roughly 2x the spacer thickness. This is enough to correct some of the bump-steer the spacers added, will change your headlight alignment and probably your toe-in at both ends of the car. If you haven't had this checked lately, I'd suggest this is the time, before you find excess tire wear has begun and you can't see far enough forward at high speeds!
