Thanks Dan for your topic related reply! One of my cars is also a 72, but believe it probably is a bit earlier than yours. I say this because the covers and fittings on mine coincide to what is shown for a 1971 in the orange ford parts manual. Apparently ford changed this set up to what you have and what is also correct for my two 74 cars. Thinking this change was brought about having to do with the new federal emission standards.
