Neither were a good many of other Ford parts. Well, that’s why they were made available through what was commonly known as “the over the counter program”.

Come on guys, seriously, they’re a 30+ year old novelty part that was only offered for a short time by Ford. There are many other parts that could be described as the same that by today’s standards have no place today as a real performance part and have really been relegated to collector stuff.

I really don’t care if people like or don’t like the part in question, they’re novel. The only thing that bothers me is inaccurate statements tend to be made in support of the criticism of the part, which often times is only information that has been read and repeated, and that’s what gets memorialized as supposed fact on internet threads like this along with all the other noise and nonsense. I quit posting here for a couple years for much the same reason…..signal to noise ratio.

I tried earlier and was just going to start a different thread but then the rest of the information still stands by itself I just don’t have the time to do it.

George, I’ll make you a deal. This weekend I’ll dig out the information I posted to Blizz’s forum some years ago, that apparently got lost in the transition to the new forum, if you would kindly take the time strip everything out of this thread that isn’t actually a response to the wanted ad, which seems to be just about everything, and start a new thread in what I suppose should be the engines forum....or, I suppose the easier thing to do would either be nothing, or just delete anything that’s not a response to the original post and call it a day. –Your forum, your shout.
