Thank you for the replies guys. Sadly I never had a chance to hook the wire as it did exactly what I thought it would and the dizzy failed. So #4629 got a piggy back ride home on the back of a truck.

So the distributor is being returned and I am chasing a good original dizzy for the old girl.
