Reply to "Taurus Window Motors in Europe ?"

Goodroc, thanks a lot for the informations. Obviously you have made the conversion on your Pantera. That`s perhaps the reason why you must have shortened the arm. The Longchamp, compared to the Pantera, has a much longer arm, that`s why the motor has much more work to do in order to move the window up and down (with a lot of help of my left arm). I realized that you have used the old ring gear - excuse me - but is the ring gear different to the one of the Transit - why change it ? If I do the conversion I prefer to use as much original parts from the new system as possible.
And is there a need to change any electrical stuff like fuses/relais etc. or can I use everything as it is ? Sorry for the extra questions but I have never seen a window conversion-description made for a Longchamp. Thanks a lot in advance.
Walt
