I just installed the latest version of Pantera Electronics parking brake controller. This version has an interlock with the regular brake system that uses an input from the brake light circuit that only allows the parking brake to apply if the brake pedal is depressed. It will release without having to depress the brake pedal however. I think this s good safety step to prevent inadvertent parking brake activation. It works as described and is better than my earlier fix which was to power the original unit with the brake light circuit instead of the +12v switched by ignition power as it allows the indicator light to stay on when the brake has been set and brake pedal released.
