'I think that if I was going to do something with the drivetrain I would stay in the stock 289/302 block size, stroke it to 347 or 355 and go with the Morrison cross ram IR EFI. Why not? That would stay in character to the car. Why put a C in it. Doesn't make sense to me?'

One of the neatest conversions on a 'Goose I ever saw was a black one from L.A. 10 years ago that had a late fuel injected 5-l in it. Everything fit, the F.I. manifold cleared the engine covers and reportedly only 1/8" of 'trim' was needed from the access door surround to clear the stock serpentine belt. Very neat, easy conversion, a little more torque and better mileage. If you're bucks-up, aluminum heads will drop another 50 or so pounds off the package.
