The engine had 106,000 miles, but I'm certain I starved the bearings for oil on at least one occasion racing through a tight uphill hairpin turn in second gear - the engine announced that the oil pickup sucked only air for a moment.

Anyway, the block and rods are at the machine shop now. Maybe the crank will become a lamp.
