The two tank question....

Hi Guys

I have been reading a ton of past threads regarding cooling. I know this topic has been discussed at great length and very much appreciate everyone's insight, have been learning a lot....but.

I am totally confused as to the two tanks and what they should be called.

Am I correct in referring to the shorter tank as the Surge Tank and the taller of the two as the Overflow Tank?

I am trying to figure out what mods may have been made to #9311 cooling system (if any) as I get closer to getting her back on the road.
