With all due respect guys, does it really matter what we perceive our cars are worth? Mike, personally I think your car is worth more than "low to mid-thirties", it's a proven show winner & you've done an excellent job documenting the improvements you've made to it. These cars are only worth what the market will bear, one thing that we can take solice in is that they don't DEPRECIATE. Is the C5 corvette a better car? In terms of handling & power, probably. In terms of beauty & rarity, not even close! Park the two next to each other & see which one gathers the crowd. In 10 years you'll be able to buy that C5 for the same price as a (by then) 40 yr. old Pantera. Says a lot for our P-car! Most Pantera owners I know didn't buy these cars as investments, but at least they won't lose any money if they absolutely have to sell.
Enjoy this gift you have in your garage, drive it, show it, work on it, PLAY with it. It's a rare & exotic plaything that never, ever gets old!
