Thermostat Question

My engine runs too hot in traffic. Can any of you guys tell me how much cooler a Robertshaw/Flowcooler thermostat might be able to make my engine run? This is assuming I have a properly functioning standard Cleveland thermostat of the same 180 degree rating as my new Robertshaw.
