Okay, what do you mean by this?

Stock Veglia gauge? Updated gauge? True mechanical or an electric sender style?

"Too hot" is subjective. If it doesn't boil over and splooge out when you park, it may be scary hot on the gauge, but in reality is giving no problems.

Put tape over the gauge...
