Well, taking possesion today of my first Pantera was a bit of an experience. Mixed with concern, grins, fear and alot of onlookers commenting on the car.
I can relate to the statements that others posted earlier about the ownership of the Pantera and how it is not just another car.
They are few and far between and that does leave a person with a sense of pride. (even on day one)
Concerns however are a few as well. Whenever one buys something with very limited knowlege, one takes a bit of a risk.
I have learned much about this car in the short time I have owned it. It has its ups and downs.
One concern in particular, is a terrible case of "bump steer". After exiting the freeway today I came up on a circle style exit ramp with slightly over the posted speed. Not realizing the pavement was a bit rough until already into the turn. The car hit the first of a couple good bumps and pulled the wheel from my hand for a fraction of a second. The car proceeded to dart out and make the turn a bit scary.
I can only assume that this must be due to some worn front end components?
Has anybody had such problems in the past?
What are recommended fixes?
