A 1973 Pantera L
Owned by Asa Jay Laughton, second owner.
Originally a California car, 5533 was purchased from the estate of the original owner and brought to Spokane Washington. The story of the car's acquisition and first trip to Las Vegas can be found in the POCA publication Profiles 2000 #4.
Other modification from stock at this point have been:
- A new steering wheel, since the original was really really bad. So bad in fact, that Mike Drew offered a replacement original wheel in much better but still dilapidated shape. The newest is a LeCarra purchased from another Pantera owner (sorry I forget who at this point).
- A new Fluidyne Aluminum radiator to help keep things cool. I now need to add a set of sucker fans to the back.
- PI Floor mats, donated by another Pantera owner in the Spokane area after I helped do some tuning on his GTS.
- A new full roller timing gear set, after the original finally lost too much plastic.
- I have a set of Kirk Evans L-style bumperettes to put on as well as a Kirk Evans rear wing. Someday, when I get more money and more time to do things.
