I was at a December wedding a few years ago, open bar. It was cold night outside, temps below freezing. I was sitting at the table with the older generation, while the younger folks were on the opposite side of the room, dancing, drinking, carrying on. At my table a few quiet conversations were taking place, while some people were just sitting quietly watching the younger folks dancing, etc.
I went up to the bartender, taught him how to make a buttery nipple, and returned to my table with my first glass. I took a few sips when the lady sitting to my side asked what I was drinking, I handed her the glass, she took a sip "Oh my, that's wonderful". I told her to keep the glass, I went back to the bar & returned with a second glass. Another inquiry, what are you two drinking? I handed the glass over, arose and returned with my third glass. Soon the men at the table were getting up to get their own. Eventually all the older folks sitting around the table,about 15 in all, were sipping buttery nipples, and going back for seconds. Everybody became social, conversations were struck up, and getting louder. Pretty soon the senior table was the center of commotion.
