Are you aware the bottom cover cannot be removed with the transaxle in the car? There are 2 long kingpins that go through cross-ways that the frame rails will not give you enough clearance to remove.

Yamabond (available from Yamaha motorcycle dealers) is recommended by many who have had great success with it as a sealer for ZFs.
