Lloyd, I sincerely appreciate your response. I worked on a few Panteras when they were new, but never learned enough about them to know their true nature. What you told me is what I had assumed(hoped), and I'm glad to know the transaxle has no "fatal flaw" that would make it unsuitable. Thanks again....Al
