transaxle with big block engine

I read that you can move the transaxle about 3-4 inches when installing longer engines. Anyone have any more details or pictures of how to locate the mounts? I have a 71 with a rear mounted -2. I know I will have to go with side mounts or maybe custom mounts. Help!
