Trick to getting replacement seat track wheels back on

So I sat down tonight to put some new steel wheels into the tracks that I cleaned up since the original rubberized outer ring wheels were flattened over the years and there must be some trick without damaging the rails. I got them off with a few blows using a rubber mallet, but having a harder time figuring out how to easily get the new ones back on. Any tips would be appreciated.
